We sew a country style interior
It doesn’t matter what we take as a sample - the furnishings of alpine chalets, an American ranch or an English cottage - we can hardly do without hearts and fabric in a cage!

And yet - without multi-colored patches, appliqués, embroidery, multi-colored ribbons and buttons. All this looks so cozy and cute that one wants to create one or another detail.
You can sew our pillows with hearts or cover the lampshade of a table lamp without much difficulty, thanks to the drawings, diagrams and step-by-step instructions given at the beginning of the article.
TIP Add a couple of charming little things to the decor of your room, stitching according to our patterns several decorative items for the interior from fabric into a cage with felt applications.

PILLOWS WITH RECTANGULAR APPLICATIONS AND HEARTS

YOU WILL NEED:
Felt red and gray for pillows (90 x 45 cm), gray felt for applications on the front (30 x 30 cm); cotton fabric in red and white checkered cotton and cotton fabric in gray and white strip for appliques on the front (22 x 22 cm), a napkin made of red and gray non-woven fabric for heart motifs (15 cm wide, length 20 cm), double-sided ironing, ready-made flower fabric (for example, edelweiss), 6 natural-colored wooden buttons (diam.15 mm), red satin ribbon 6 mm wide, 1.3 m long and 3 mm wide, 90 cm long, gray satin ribbon 3 mm wide, 2.1 m long, cotton wool for stuffing or pillow (40 x 40 cm ), a felt-tip pen with foaming red paint, red sewing threads, transparent paper, thin cardboard, pencil, fabric scissors, measuring tape, textile glue. Sewing machine, sewing threads, pins, iron.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

STEP 1

For applique fabrics, trim the edges evenly, iron the non-woven with the iron on the wrong side. Remove the non-woven protective paper. On the right half of the details for pillows made of red and gray felt (45 x 90 cm), press the squares of applications exactly in the middle, as shown in the photo of the model.
STEP 2
Fill the details of felt and fabric along the edges with a satin ribbon, for which first fix their position with pins, and then stitch them on a typewriter (Figure 1).
STEP 3
Fold the pillow detail face to face, sew along the contour, the width of the seam is 1 cm, leave a hole for stuffing in the seam. Carefully unscrew the pillow, stretch the corners and fill it with cotton wool or put the finished pillow in it. Finally, sew a hole in the seam manually or sew small buttons along the hole.
STEP 4
According to the template (see slide show), cut out a heart motif from red felt and a gray napkin. Sew a wooden button in the middle of a red heart, grabbing a pillow cover, as shown in the photo of the model. Stick on an edelweiss flower on a gray heart and chop in the middle of the front side of the pillow, as shown in the photo of the model. Then fix both heart motifs with textile glue.
Use a felt-tip pen with foaming paint to draw decorative straight stitches around the rectangles of fabrics.
TIP Instead of drawing decorative stitches with a felt-tip pen, you can embroider them with red woolen yarn, including along the contour of all applications.
