Anorak, a sports jacket that became popular back in the 70s of the last century, today has turned into a stylish wardrobe item that is perfect for spring weather.

The word "anorak" comes from the Eskimo name for clothing, similar in appearance to modern anoraks. This item of both male and female wardrobe has a number of distinctive features:
1. Clasp - Anorak never zips up like a regular jacket. Yes, lightning can be present, but only at the neck: such a jacket is always worn over the head. Such a characteristic cut was just borrowed from the original Eskimo anoraks.
You can often find a common misconception when anorak is a jacket that fits the description of anorak, except for lightning - in fact, such a jacket is called a parka.

2. Pocket - patch pocket in the middle of the jacket is also on the list of distinctive features.
3. Length - anoraks are never longer than the middle of the thigh, and most often there are anoraks to the length of the belt.

As for the material, it should be noted that the first anoraks were worn in a cold Arctic climate, so they were sewn from dense leather that did not allow moisture to pass through. Today, classic modern anoraks are sewn from water-repellent materials, often in protective shades.
However, there are so many variations of anorak that you can easily sew a knitted anorak, a cozy anorak dress, or a lightweight sports transformer anorak.
