Each of these babies as a true work of art conveys the essence of different types: character, profession, society, nationality, etc.

Collected in a single collection and placed on shelves or hung on the wall, they will demonstrate your vision of the world.
In order to make such a collection, you will not need either too much time or special financial investments. After all, all the dolls are made from the remains of different materials. For them, you can use everything that lies in your caskets and drawers idle: shreds of fabrics, wool or cotton yarn, embroidery threads, beads, glass beads, ribbons, lace, tiny key rings, etc., etc.

For the collection, it is better to make dolls of the same size - thanks to this, the variety of characters and costumes will be more visual.
Take our pattern as a basis (dots indicate the places of cuts, which you can continue if you wish, for example, change the arm length) and either tie or sew on it the half of the doll's body. First, make a paper pattern, open a fabric on it or knit a warp of yarn. Cut fabric with 0.5 cm allowances over all sections. Stitch two parts along the contour, leave the bottom cut open. Stuff the body and then, turning the hem, manually sew the bottom cut.
Handles are not necessarily sewn from fabric - you can weave them from thick yarn, this looks especially good on fully knitted dolls. You can also sew them from fabric and do not stuff, but twist them and tie them around the wrists.
Paint your face with waterproof felt-tip pens or embroider. The nose, cheeks, etc. details can be made convex due to embroidery with flooring, embroidery with thick yarn or neatly sewn knitted details with stuffing (this is already jewelry work). The faces of men can be supplemented with a beard or mustache. For hair, of course, it is best to use thick fluffy yarn. You can leave the yarn as is, or you can braid or curl it in curls, from it you can tie a braid-wreath around the head or tie a short haircut. Try to make a hairstyle from threads for embroidery, but from silk threads you get perfect hair for beauties.
Then go in for a suit. Blouses and shawls, hats, vests, coats, etc., as well as skirts and trousers, can be sewn from tiny shreds, or can be knitted (in the photo skirts for dolls and other details are crocheted without crochet posts from the remains of colored yarn). Instead of knitted skirts, you can hang multi-colored beads, beads from the belt, or you can sew multi-colored glass beads on the canvas in a transverse strip.
Do not limit your imagination to any scope! Complete the fish seller with a tiny fish, a baker - with buns molded from polymer clay in a toy basket. Add-on toys can also be made of thick cardboard or metal foil.
And of course, you can start making such a collection together with the children, passing along telling them about the most diverse, possibly already forgotten professions, about historical heroes or traditions of different peoples of the world and about where in the world they live, what they do, how dress to eat. Entertaining geography and history in an exciting game and developing needlework.
Or maybe you come to create a collection of Santa Clauses and their assistants from different countries? Just wonder how many amazing characters people come up with to celebrate Christmas and New Year!
I wish you creative success!
