Stitched folds are a decorative element with the help of which it is easy to add volume to one or several details, accentuate the waist or emphasize the romantic or folk style of the model.
Also, with the help of sharpened folds, you can form cuffs on the sleeves of a blouse or dress, shape the trousers, highlight the belt in the style of paper bag:

Step 1
The fold lines of the folds (in this case, on the front of the dress) should be sewn onto the fabric with large marking stitches so that they can be seen both from the front and from the wrong side.
Step 2
Fold the part with folds alternately along the fold line of each fold with the wrong side inward.
Stitch the fold of each fold from the top to the transverse mark at a certain distance (in this case, 8 mm).
At the beginning and at the end of the line, sew the stitches.
Step 3
Iron the depths of the folds in the indicated direction (in this case, from the line of the middle of the front to the sides of the side slices).
Step 4
Then sew the product, as stated in the instructions.
