Tangerines, champagne, elegant Christmas tree are the main attributes of the New Year. Going on a visit, take along champagne packed in a festive handbag, which you can sew in just a couple of hours!
You will need:
✽ polka dot jute fabric;
✽ felt;
✽ flizofiks;
✽ thread for sewing;
✽ tailor pins;
✽ scissors;
✽ scale bar
DIY New Year Gifts
Step 1
Flaps of felt and jute fabric approx. Iron 16 x 80 cm to each other, laying between them a flizofiks.
Following the pattern of the template, draw a detail of the bag on the sheet and cut it out.
Place the paper pattern on the fabric folded in half, pin and cut out the part of the bag with a fold without allowances.
Step 2
Mark each hole (instead of the handle) of the part with a narrow zigzag stitch.
Step 3
Fold the bag detail along the fold with the felt side inward, aligning the holes.
Chip and grind the bag along the outer sections with a narrow zigzag stitch.
Step 4
Fold the bag by aligning the side seams.
At the bottom of the bag, form the corners and cut them off.
Stitch open openings, thus forming the bottom of the bag.
Slices are processed in a zigzag stitch.
The champagne bag is ready!
