How to sew toys from the fabric for the Christmas tree with your own hands - step by step instructions.

Such toys can be sewn from any beautiful scraps of fabric. You can decorate them with bells, as in our case, or beads. For a loop it is good to take a suitable braid or ribbon. Toys can be of different shapes: a chubby ball is obtained from 5 parts, a 4-sided round toy from 4 parts, an icicle toy from 3 parts.

DIY Christmas paper decor: 13 ideas with instructions

Step 1

Draw a template on paper and cut it out.

Step 2

Cut out the details from the fabric. I decided to make two toys: one of 5 parts, the other of 3 parts. Allowances - 0.7-1 cm each.

Step 3

Use two pins to pin and sew together, removing the pins when the needle comes up to them. The line should begin exactly from the beginning of the marked line and end as well, not go out into the stock.Make stitches at the beginning and end of the stitches.

Thus, sew the required number of parts: in our case, parts 5 for the ball and 3 for the icicle.

The last seam connecting the first and last parts, do not complete: on one side, leave a hole for turning about 3-4 cm.

Step 4

Turn out the toys.

Fill the toys tightly with the filler through the hole.

Sew the hole manually with a blind seam.

Step 5

Now sew on the bottom of the bells or beads.

Step 6

To loop each toy, cut a ribbon or braid 25–27 cm long. Cut the ends diagonally.

Secure the slices by beating with a lighter or match.

Fold the ribbon in half, form a bow at the ends and secure it with threads in color.

Then sew a buttonhole with a bow to the top of the toy.

Done!
