A basket made of thick cotton: a master class
For such a basket to keep its shape well, take a really dense cotton or linen cloth for it. Then the basket will turn out multifunctional: it can be either put on the floor or hung, for example, on a door handle.

You will need:
- fabric for the front and back of the basket;
- wide strong band for basket handles;
- tailor's scissors;
- something round to use as a template (large dish or tray, for example);
- centimeter;
- pencil or marker for fabric;
- sewing machine and thread.

Steps 1-2
Measure the circumference of your pattern with a centimeter and write down the value. Lay the fabric for the front of the basket upside down and, backing off a bit so that you can make allowances for the seams, circle the circle according to the pattern. Do the same with the fabric for the underside of the basket, add allowances for the seams and cut out two round details of the bottom of the basket.
Step 3
To carve out a basket wall part, use a measure taken from a round template. This value will be equal to the width of the wall part. The height of the wall and, accordingly, the basket, select for yourself. Draw the details on two types of fabric, add allowances and cut the details.
Steps 4-5
Fold the front side of the wall in half with the inside out. Pin short sides and sew. Repeat with the wrong side of the wall.
Steps 6-7
Pin the wall part to the bottom part from the same fabric as shown in the photo. Sew the parts in a circle. Repeat for parts from a different fabric.
Steps 8–9
Insert the parts of the basket one on top of the other with their faces inward. Pin the top edges and sew together, leaving a hole for turning out.
Steps 10-11
Turn out the basket. Straighten the seam from above, pin the layers together with pins and stitch, backing 5 mm and 20 mm from the edge (at the same time sew a hole for turning out). Try braid to the basket, cut two identical pieces for pens. Pin them with pins, as shown in the photo.
Step 12
Wrap the ends of the tape inward and stitch as shown in the photo. Done!

Fabric basket and hoop: master class
This basket holds the shape due to very large hoops, and you can make it from an unnecessary pillowcase - or sew the bag yourself.
You will need:
- a fabric bag, an unnecessary pillowcase or fabric for such a bag;
- large hoops;
- strong thick thread for the loop and a large hand needle;
- if you will sew the bag yourself - a sewing machine and thread.
Step 1
If there is no finished bag, sew it. To do this, fold a piece of fabric in half, face inward, and sew along the two sides of the rectangle, leaving the side open on top. Process the seam. Work the upper edge by tucking and stitching.
Step 2
It remains to fix the upper edge of the bag in the hoop, and sew a loop on top.

Cord braided basket: master class
The basis for this basket is a large plastic basket or bucket. The appearance will depend on the cord or rope you pick up.
You will need:
- a large plastic basket;
- rope or thick cord;
- glue gun and glue;
- fabric (enough cut to wrap the basket and tuck the fabric inward, covering the walls and bottom) - it is better to take material whose edges do not crumble;
- if you want to paint the basket - acrylic paint and brush.
Step 1
Wrap the basket with cloth and glue the fabric to the bottom of the basket, as shown in the photo.
Step 2
Cut the edges of the fabric and glue it to the basket. Thread the remaining fabric inside.
Step 3
Start gluing the basket with the cord as shown in the photo.
Step 4
When reaching the top of the basket, cut off the cord and glue the tip well.
Step 5
Color the basket. If you want to achieve an ombre effect, as in this example, paint harder from below. Then let the paint dry - and you're done.

Basket bag
For this basket, you can also take a finished pillowcase or bag - or sew it yourself. Such a basket can be hung on a towel hook or on a cabinet handle.
You will need:
- pillowcase, bag or fabric for the bag;
- a little braid;
- sewing machine and thread.
Step 1
Using the diagram, cut out the details for the bag. Sew a simple bag with the seams sewn.
Step 2
Sew eyelets on the sides. Done!
